Default Wanting honest opinions

I bought a set of 4 8.5x18 LMGT4's for a steal of a price. Put 245/45/18's all around. I did not count on the tire wall lookin so thick. Just wondering what peoples opinions are about the way it looks. Whats a good tire size that has a nice balance between good looks and longevity?

I think it looks fine. Its also always nice to have some protection around the wheel lip. And the lower profile you go, generally, the rougher the ride.

But i would suggest lowering the ride height by about an inch or so.

Other than that. Looks great.

Nice wheels... some wheel spacers and a drop will improve the overall look.

I don't think you can't go wrong with some stretched tires, but I think it looks good now and a good drop will help with the look.

I would probably go 245/40 front and 255/40 rear or 255/40 front and rear. Actually I would sell the wheels, I won't run less than a 9 up front.

Those sizes aren't ideal for a Z. The fact that you are having second thoughts makes me think you should look for something else.

Looks fine I agree with the lowering. As far as sizes, do what Nissan did for the track package, looks flawless and agressive

+1.
I'd sell them to be honest. You should be able to sell them for profit if you got them for a steal, right?
8 isn't enough in my opinion, especially for the Z.

245/40s would look better and perform better on the front (quicker turn in response).
255/40 would look better in rear.
Also, this combo will be closer to stock stagger than your set up now.
Only downside is increased gap (1/2") in the rear.

meaning, i can handle any negative feedback and not get mad about it. sometimes people sugarcoat things. but the way i look at it, if im making a fool of myself (obviously not knowing), then i want to be told. yeah there's the whole "it only matters what you think" logic. my response: people would do a lot crazier/outlandish things without social criticism.

im going to look into some spacers and some coilovers. There are some in the vendor marketplace for $560 but apparently there's also a waiting list. I'm not really sure how these adjustable coilovers work, so im going to do some research. Tein and Eibach seem to be pretty popular brands. But popular doesn't always mean efficient.

If anyone would like to throw out some recommendations on coilover kits, i'd appreciate it. I'd like to keep the price range sub $800.

i was only having second thoughts about the width of the tirewall. I love these rims. I've always believed in keeping classic brand/style anything is worth having. I've always wanted gold TE37's as well, so for the price, I couldn't pass these up. They're Rays, gold, Nissan, 8.2lbs each and NOT CHROME and NOT 20's.

edit: sorry for hating on chrome 20's as i know some members have these. I just believe that those are meant for escalades, not sports cars. But it's all personal taste

if these are 245 tires, would you recommend 10mm spacers? I don't want the tires to be ridiculously close to the fender but i do want there to be some distinction from the width of the front compared to the back.
