19"s is it possible?
I wanted to put a HP Design 19" Wheel/Tire Pack (225/35/19) on my 04 Touring Auto. Does anyone see any issues with this setup, I am a newb when it comes to being a manly man and greasing up my elbows! I usually sit behind a keyboard all day looking for intruders!

Wouldnt this just amplify the inherent understeer of the car?
yes. but most people are far better off with understeer than oversteer. for joy riding; its no problem to get the back end around; and under braking conditions; you do not want your back end to come around the front on the street unless you prepared to drift your way around the turn.
aside from this; the understeer is stemming from the swaybars and suspension setup; not the thinner front tires. and the rears are wider from the factory as well.
however mgl improperly used the term staggered I think... thought she was right on what she said. the larger issue is that the TCS expects the rear to be slightly taller than the front. this is typicly done by having a wider tire to make the profile slightly larger.
for the original poster; I would go with wider all around; you can fit 19" rims which I guess is what you were asking; you can also fit wider tires; 245-275 in front; and 275-295 in back.
245/35/19 and 275/35/19 is very very popular; they fit perfectly on 8.5" front rims and 9.5" rear. you maintain the understeer to a point; but over all you can grab around a turn much better before anything breaks loose.

Carefull With Hp racing Wheels I Bought some From Wheels Boutique and Rcvd. Two Leakers Out Of Four! ..They Said It Was A Bad Batch from The MFG.I Said It's A BAD MFG.as Far as Recommended Tire sizes In 19" Go With 245/35R19 and 275/30R19. I put 20" on My '04 G35 Coupe. check It out...

for regular driving as you probably mean. thats subjective still. the most popular sizes I see are 245 front and 275 rear. next most popular is 275 front and 295 rear.
these numbers are the width of the tread in mm.
the second number is the profile percentage... and yes; this is possibly the most stupid way to do things. stock for example; 245/45/18. that means the tread is 245 wide; and the sidewall is 45% of 245. now youll see the popular sizes to switch this to are 275/40 and 295/35. if you calculate all of those; youll find all 3 have very similair sidewall measures.
you can also see that stock is 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 back. so that means the backs are 20 wider; and thus 45%times 20 wider sidewall. getting you the staggered setup front to back while having the same profile percentage.
Im sure your confused enough now.
IMO 245/275 f/r is best. of course IMO 19" are not best for performance. but there are hundreds of threads debating every which way on this topic. I think the truth is smaller rims are better; but by a marginal amount at best.
