Default rim questions

im struggling with decisions on sizes of rims right now. i dont know which sizes to fit my car. i have base rims right now i think they are 17 x 7.5 and 17 x 8.0.

1)would it be bad for the car if i got 18 x 7.5 on all 4 wheels?
-if i do this do i have to fit the rear tires thicker? say like 235 front and 245 in rear?

2)or should i go with 17 x 8 in front and 17 x 9 in the rear?

-can someone answer this question(pros/cons for both options)?
-and if i chose the 2nd option how would i go with tire rotation?
-any other ideas?

I wouldnt go 17x7.5 all around. The car can fit wider offsets so I would take advantage of this.

The tire will get more surface area if you get 17x8 front and 17x9 rears.

you might want to go wider than 7.5.
on the track model they come with 18 x 8 and 18 x 8.5 with tire sizes 225/45/18 and 245/45/18. but of course you can go wider and bigger than that. it really depends on what look you want and whether you want 17s 18s 19s or even 20s.

The 350Z wheel wells are huge. They can accomodate 10.5 inch wide wheels, in the rear, with no modifications. If your going to change wheels you might as well go wider, at least 9 inch in the rear. Stagger the set up with 8 inches in the front. It will look and handle better.

im "guessing" by your sig, that you are a drift fan! that being said, you might want to consider not going bigger in size. if you plan on drifting, bigger tires will be more $$, and harder to break loose! just a thought. im putting 275/40/18's on my nismos (rears) for street use (about 10in wide) but im going to get a used set of track model wheels to drift on! ill probably use 225/45/18's on those? just my $.02.

to answer your #2 option question. the only way to rotate them will be to unmount them and switch the tire Ltire>right rim and so on.
