Lowering
I think i only scrapped the very edge of the stillen exhaust tip like twice in 2 years, so i wouldn't worry about it much. The stillen exhaust with the newer tips look really nice too.
ZRAYGO,
Is that your white Z you keep showing in the signature? I only ask because you mention Volk GTC's, but those look like SF Winnings on the car.
It looks great regardless...
I was wondering if those rims on that car were
8.5f
9.5r
or
9.5f
10.5r
and which ever they are, what are your offsets front and back?
I'm curious because I just ordered those rims in
8.5f __+25
10.5r _+29
Thanks

Getting the coilover kit allows you to raise and relower at a later date......best money I have spent on the car as of yet.

sundevil,
i think they are pretty close. The nismo's are 20mm drop, which i think is almost 3/4in and the eibachs were close to an inch too. My car settled some more and looks a little lower than when i first put the springs on, but not much, but i doubt your car will scrape much too unless you carry a lot of stuff in the car.

Well,
Thats it - I am totally fed up with my Eibach Pro springs. I am having them removed this weekend in favor of my stock springs. I just wish I would have known how bad they were before I spent the money on buying them and having htem installed. I now need body work on my front end and have done an unknown amount of damage to my undercarriage. I scrape on every sharp incline and every time there is one of those things that flattens your tires if you back up over it. There is no way I would have been able to install an aftermarket exhaust like the Stillen and not ruin it. It is a shame because it won't look as good with my 19" rims, but I don't know what else to do. Is this a common problem? How do y'all with lowered Zs drive them like that without scraping all the time?

Wow, sorry to hear you're having so much trouble. 1 inch really isn't that much when you lower a car, the eibachs are really usually well engineered for performance as well as rider comfort.
There must be a lot of steep driveways and speedbumps in your area. Hit the speedbumps on an angle, even steep driveways i go down on an angle and that helps me not to scrape.

Yeah, the biggest problem is the steep inclines. I go over them sideways, but there is one in my work parking garage that gets me every time. I also find myself scraping the front end on curbs all the time. The car doesn't handle much better with the springs and I just decided it isn't worth it. I will hate the space in the wheel well and I am sorry I wasted so much cash, but what're you gonna do.

Thanks for the tip - but I think I am going to stick with the stock springs. I am too worried about ruining the Stillen Exhaust I am about to install, and I don't want to do any more damage to my front end. I just got my rims mounted last night and I already scraped one of them on a curb. I just have rotten luck and can be careless sometimes, so a lowered car just isn't for me!
Don't you just hate when you scrape a curb with a freaking rim that costs over 600 bucks each. I hit a bump in the road and the rear rim scraped the edge of this huge asphalt bump and took a gauge out the very edge. You just can't keep the car perfect. I just got a freaking door ding too, looks pretty damn deep and deliberate. So now i'm thinking body kit. Might as well spruce it up if i have to repaint some parts anyway.
ok before I bid I have a few questions if you guys dont mind? I just added 18.5 all the way around my touring with 255-45-18 tires I to feel my ride hight is to high now and there is to much of a gap. I am planing on a bodykit next month so "if" I add these springs will that bring my car to low with the bodykit ? or will the bodykit give me the look I am seaking without the springs?
