I had one set of the old Super Sports and they wore out quickly.

I tried the newer models, and I did not like them compared to the Toyo's (I liked them) and now, the KDW's that I now have. Noise is not a problem. Durability - yet to be measured . . .

420 for the achilles is good but the gmax has 480 and cooper rs3a has 500 tread rating

OP - Did you need a summer performance tire or would you be okay with an all-season?

Plenty of tires out there that would last you a long time, but you'll end up sacrificing a few things here or there.

thanks everyone for your input and suggestions. i decided to go with the general g max. i got them for 594 shipped. not too shabby

I tore through the super sports in 2 track days and 3k, miles, corded them. Gotten better life out of every other tire Ive ever had. And they are expensive, but I guess if you dont track or drive hard at alll they might be worth it.. maybe.
