Default New tires advice (falken,hankook,toyo)

Hey guys! Time have come, i have a 05 with oem tires.

Ive done my research and come down to 3 models on my budget.
- Falken ZE 912
- Toyo Proxes 4
- Hankook H105

I live in PR so absolutely no need for snow tires.

I like spidit driving almost every day, and autox every now and then..

Hated the OEM tires too damn noisy and very cheap tire i have.hole in one of my rears and feathering problems.

Advices on which is best and why always welcome thanks!

Hankook...however,the Ventrus V-12 is more suited for the Z.
The Hankook you selected is more of a all-season tire.
Read the reviews on the V-12...Impressive.They do cost
substantially more than the H105'S.

I looked at the V-12's and liked them more than the H105, but they dont come in 235/50-17 for the rears...

Is there another reliable setup for the 17" OEM Wheels?

Falken= shitty wear but nice ride hankook = good wear good ride. Toyo= over priced pieces of ssshhhiittt.. def go with hankook hands down. I prefer camber and cheapo tires just my style but not everyone's. I've used all 3 of those brands and they were my experiences. Ha kook were the only ones I was happy with. There on my celica and were on my titan. And affordable good tire to look into is kumho and nexus. Koreans can't make sshit but tires lol.

I am running the Hankook V12's. I like them, very predictable handling. Parents have the 912's on their car and hate them. I have ran the Toyo Proxes on a boosted Cobalt and had no complaints. Stiff sidewall on the Proxes

The Hankook V12 comes in a 225/50/17, but there isn't a 235/50/17 listed.

You may want to look at using Hankook V-12's in a 245/245/17 size all around.
A boxed set up.I have a friend that has these on his Z.Looks great.Don't know if the
diameters would mess up your TCM?The rears in this size you be wider and just a little lower. You'll have about a 25.7" tire diameter on all fours.Where OEM is approx 6" in the front,26.4" rear.
They shold be able to be squeezed on your OEM 17" wheel widths.

Are the factory 17s not staggered? If they are it would be real dumb to run the same size tire all around

The factory 17s are staggered, 7.5" front and 8.0" rear. Doing some simple searching would have yielded that very common answer.

I also have this setup with the OEM specked Bridgestones. I am upgrading to 18" G35 coupe wheels next year with the Hankook V-12. Seems to be the best choice for the DD setup.

Exactly why someone shouldn't suggest to run the same size tire all the way around. Obviously you missed the sarcasm

Tire Rack has a good tire review section, why not compare them for yourself?

Sorry I should have been more clear.

I am not running them on 17's. My tire sizes are 245 and 275/35/19

I like Hankook tires quite a bit. Owned a set of V12s and they were great overall.

The Hankook you initially mentioned is an all season tire, not so much a performance tire. Good for life/ride but average handling. In a sport summer tire I would look at Yokohamas S-Drive, BFG KDW2, or Sumitomo HTR Z-III.
