Default What is the largest tires that will fit on factory Track Model wheels?

I have the factory Track Model wheels mounted with the loud and crappy Bridgestone tires. In the near future I am going to be looking at installing some Michelline Pilots (excuse the spelling).

I am curious as to what the largest front/rear configuration I can do is...without the unsightly sidewall bulge. I want it to look like it belongs.

Currently stock is 225 in the front and 245 in the back....

I would think a 235/255 configuration should be easy to pull off. Maybe even wider in the back?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

you can go to 245 in front. maybe 265 in back.

the stock 8" rims on performance and touring use 245s in back; so no reason the front 8" rims on the track cant use 245s. the back is .5" wider; so IMO 255 is the proper size; 265 would be 1 notch larger.

Thank you for the response. I don't have much time to search these forums like the "friendly" person that posted after yourself suggested. I figured a knowledgeable person wouldn't mind giving me a quick answer.

I think your best bet would be to keep the 245's in the back and run some 245's in the front too. This would reduce understeer on the car.

Sorry if I wasn't as "friendly" as you expected but the first repeat post you answer then maybe the second but then it just get repitious and that is why a serch is simple it doesn't take that long.

Now I will chime in, you can go 265 in the rear but I would not go any more, 255 is the best for the width of the rim as for the front I would go with 245, and for profile I would go with 40, I have those widths with 45 profile and they look too big plus the ride sometimes feels floaty.

Do not put 245 all around, understeer is good, it will keep you out of trouble more than it will get you into it. I don't know how people are possiblly driving the car to the point that understeer is an issue unless they are at the track. On the street understeer shouldn't be an issue but oversteer will be in the case that you take a turn a little too fast or the corner too tight and you wish you had understeer to keep you from spinning.
