OP - So you're looking for good tires that you can legally drive on the street, but will also perform on the track, correct?

If you're looking for specific brands/model tires that are pretty sticky, I'd recommend looking at the Michelin Pilot Super Sport or something of the like.

The challenge you are gonna have is the wheel width on those stock
17's.Its gonna limit the tread width of the tire.Especially important if you
are planning drags.
Whats the other specs of your car?performance mods etc.

OK lol for your "joke" and if you're smart enough to ask why I spell Tyre like that before you look foolish, I'm from the Caribbean and we were once British ruled so therefore we have the British spelling on words and not the US spelling. Thanks now back to Tyre information.

K&N drop in and a pop charger, awsome.

Just buy new wheels, you really need a 17x9 out back to run a nice 275/40-17
the stock wheel sizing is a joke.

Our site sponsor tire rack has plenty of reviews on their website:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/index.jsp

If you're looking for drag tire info I would suggest starting here:
