Im looking to buy rims and i want these http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-Rota-Grid...dca57f&vxp=mtr but with a polished lip. Is it possible and if so how.

within reasonable practicallity, no you cant.
Just Buy the proper wheels.
Varrstoen have them w a pol lip i believe.

you can gehtto lathe them < ie polish them while spining on the car .. its dangerous and up to you. Results will be questionable for wheels you just bought.. just buy some XXrs if you want a cheap lipped wheel like this.
you have to sand them and then begin polishing slowly.. and dont touch the rest of the wheel.. pretty time consuming job id say.. again, not worth the effort imo.

i just found a site that you can get varrstoen ones fully polished(for additional fees of course) so im going to get those and paint the spokes black

Buy the polished Varrdoggs and paint the spokes, much easier than the reverse process.

With enough time and resources you could. Lots of sanding... In my opinion though it would be much easier to just find wheels that already were manufactured like that.
