Rim Ding !
Well, as luck would have it, I clipped a rock on the highway today in the rain and it put a ding in the edge of my less than 1 month old rims.
It could've been worse of course. It was raining, the rock was bouncing (fell off of a damn truck up the highway in front of me). It could've bounced up my hood and hit the windshield or something.
From what I can tell by looking at it, it sort of pinched right under the edge of the tire and caught the rim just slightly. It made a small crescent shaped ding in the edge of the rim. Of course to my eyes, it's HUGE.
Is there anything I can do about this to repair it at all? Or should I just suck it up and buy a new rim. It's purely cosmetic, doesn't effect performance at all.
