Default Lug nut recommendations

I need a new set of lug nuts for the Z and have no idea what is decent and what is crap. Can anyone recommend me a decent set that won't break the bank? Thanks!

I guess it depends on what defines breaking the bank. Project kit r40s or r26s are nice. They have a rotating seat that won't spin and damage the wheel as you tighten them down. They can be had from $160-170. They also have open ended versions for extended studs.

This place seems to have a wide variety as well.

There is a good thread you can reference:

If you just want to get a set of standard lugs you can't go wrong with a set of Muteki's.

I have ran Rays, NISMO's, TiTek's and now Muteki's and they were the cheapest and do the job

I have varrstoens- I love them and they havent scratched and they still look good and never loosen up. Plus they are longer than stock so hard to strip because there is allot of surface grip.

i have project kics r40 and have no problems with them. Although, i've heard of people having problems with the finish on them (flaking off) through continual usage but then again you should beware of replicas and imitations.

if you decide to get R40s.. here is a link to the rsx forums showing you how to spot the differences between fake and real. (or just buy from a reputable vendor.) http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=817526

I've also heard good things about muteki, titek, and varrstoens (especially for the price)
Good luck!

The finish on kics lugs holds up amazing. Way better than my muteki lugs.

Agreed. After taking them off and putting them on multiple times they are holding up surprisingly well.

Gorilla Lugs will be the least expensive, I run them and remove my wheels pretty often and have had no problems. I have the closed end spline drive tuner version.
