Default Input Regarding Redrilled Wheels

ok so i bought some used wheels for my Z yesterday pretty far drive also, they look good and all but when i got home last night to take them out of the car i noticed that the back of the wheel where the barrel and nut are located that the rear barrells were redrilled, so you can see holes on every other nut. is that going to be an issue at all. i mean the wheel looks secure with all bolts and nuts fastened tightly but the extra holes on the barrel, is that going to be an issue at all???? please help with your guys input, really appreciate it. thanks in advance.

Sound like they made the barrel that much weaker.. I'm probably wrong, but avoid pot holes. Next time inspect the entire wheel, don't rush into things.

This is not going to be good

That person has made an already poor quality wheel even weaker, you should try to return them if possible

So here's the pic of the wheel. I took some of the nuts off to show you guys what I am talking about. Let me know what you guys think if they'll be ok.

I've seen this done before, looks like the previous owner didn't like the original specs. All you have to do is find an inner barrel that matches the Makaveli wheels. Most custom forged 3 piece wheel manufacturer can source the barrels for you. They are about 60-100/piece. I've seen some on ebay and craigs that sell just the inner or outter lips.

Well the problem is its not just the rear barrel it's also the lips.

If I were you I would attempt to resell them or invest in new lips and barrels. Driving on them is a bad idea.

Replace the lip/barrel if you really like these wheels, cost is about $4-500. Like I said I've seen this done before and have seen wheels sold this way when the shop runs out of the correct lip/barrels when they build wheels.

So I got an update for you guys. I spoke with the guy that sold me the wheels and he was cool enough to let me swap out the wheels with another that he had for sale also. But I'm not really into chrome so I had the chrome stripped on them, left the nickel and put my own twist to it, all the work done by me.

When I got it

Then just nickel

Then my twist to it
