Kuhmo MX - good street/track tire?
I'm looking for a set of street/track tires to put on g35 rims. I'm gonna be driving to cali this summer for the z convention and to do some track days out on the west coast, and don't want to bring 2 sets of wheels.
Also, I'm sending my iforged wheels back to be refinished, and don't want to run the crappy goodyears that came on the G in the meantime, so I was thinking of the ecsta MX. They have a 220 wear rating, so they should be fairly soft and grippy.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

For the money, can't beat it. I can't afford a set of slicks and another set of streets (or my wife won't allow such spending on my car) so i'm going for the MX also (275/40/18). Not a bad price...under $200 per tire.
Too bad Falken Azenis isn't available in the larger sizes cuz i would probably choose those over the MX.

I have the MX's, installed with only 500 miles on the car.
Extreamly frightningly quick tire wear in cold weather, California here so I'm only talking about 40+ and their grip level's are noticibly lower do to the temps to. I'm well on my way to only getting 12K if I were to rotate them ( I plan on getting a pair of S-03's to install on the rear because I will not purchase the MX's again, lesson learned, I'll replace the front's eventually). In warmer weather they grip quite will, good feed back, no surprises, very noisy tire and they can screach in town loudly when hot foot'n it on certain surfaces, embarassing at times. Poor cold weather grip and melting treadware before my eyes are the kiss of death for me, wish it stayed in the +70's year round, then I might stick with them.

I'm presuming that you are talking about the 17's G35 rims, maybe you want to check out the Toyo Proxes 4, I got a set of 225/45/17 and 245/45/17 on my stock 17's, and they are awesome!! got plenty of treadwear (300AA) and plenty of traction, even in the low 30 degrees in TX. You could find a set of them for really good deal at www.treadepot.com, as long you willing to lower the profile on them.
They also have 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 available too for the 18's.
