You've seriously never encountered a lock nut? What are you 14 with your first car encounter ever?

Every car I've owned has been pre 2001 and none have had rims worth taking so no I've never encountered one before. Either tell me how to get it off or keep your sarcastic *** comments too yourself

It takes a key, look in the car for one. By the pic i would say it is a mcgard but who knows. Most tire places will be able to remove it for you so you can put a regular one on. Or you can buy a key at any autoparts store, but you might have to buy locknuts with it...

If you can't find the key to the locknut, you can still take it off easily yourself. Just takes a regular socket that is just slightly smaller than the diameter of the locknut, a mallet/hammer to force it on, and a breaker bar/impact gun to loosen.

It's a cursed lug. you have to summon the wheel wizards to unlock it.
