Default Measurement help please for wheels.

Anyone know what the distance is, from where the wheel mounts to the fender? for front and rear.
Distance is up to that little inner lip the fender has for the rear.

Or, does anyone know what the max sizes/offset you can run on the 350Z without rolling fenders? while lowering the car please.

...Im still trying to figure out what offsets to get, heh.
Been inquired different offsets, but with calculations things dont seem to be adding up correctly.

Offset is measured from the center of the wheel to the mounting face of the wheel, you do know that, correct?

If its a positive offset the face of the wheel is more towards the outside edge of the wheel, a negative offset is the exact opposite, where the wheel face is more toward the inside of the car, past the midpoint of the wheel. I believe the 350Z deals with all positive offsets front and rear anyway so you should'nt have to worry about negative offsets.

Yes, Ive been doin lots of reading on offsets and such, so I do understand how offset works. Atleast I think I know.

My prob is Ive been given 2 different width/offset combos; from 2 different places.
But they both add up to the same measurements from the mounting surface out.

The 1st place says that I "WILL" need to roll fenders.
19x10.0 +17

The 2nd place says that I "WONT" need to roll fenders.
19x10.5 +23

After doin calculations, they both seem to have the same length after the mount, eventho the total width of the wheel is different.

Don't mean to change the subject here, but speaking of offsets, do you guys know the offsets for the OEM 17"x 7.5 fronts and 17" x 8.0 rears, that would be on my Enthusiast model? Thanks.

The offsets for the 17 wheels are +33 front and +30 rear.

As for rolling fenders, I've read extensively in this forum, and this is what I've concluded:

10.5 +35 do not need rolling.
9.5 +22 is within 0.3mm from the above wheel, hence no rolling
10.5 +22 rolling is highly recommended.

At first, I didn't think I'd mind rolling fenders, but the more I think about it, the more I don't want to mess with the handling characteristics of the car. I'm sure pulling the wheels farther out of the wheel well will have to impact to handling if the front wheels aren't pulled out the same amount. So, I decided that I'd pull 1" wider from stock on all four corners. Which means approx 8.5 +22 up front and 9.5 +22 (or 10.5 +35) at the rear.

Nobody had ever mentioned this, but if you pull the wheels out, without compensating for this by increasing the width, your putting stresses on the suspension pieces they were not designed to handle. That probalbly doesn't make a lot sense. But, if the center of the wheel is in a different realitionship to the mounting surface than the stock wheel was, the stresses will be moved to different points on the non-rolling parts of the suspension. Do I make sense? If the difference is small, 5mm or less, no big deal, but if more, you could run into problems.
