Never tried, but from other specs I've tried, I doubt it will clear the front upright

Was asked privately, "What do you mean about not being a good set fit?"

No problem. Stock wheels have an offset of +30-33mm

Putting on higher offset wheels (in this case 35mm), "pushes" the wheel further INWARDS, hence terrasmak's comment about not clearing the upright.

They will fit but not optimally. 10" wheels should have about +25 offset front, +20mm offset rear to clear nicely on stock suspension.

But like I said, they will fit and if these are wheels you already have, you can "adjust the fitment" with 10mm and 15mm spacers, front and rear respective.

Basic understanding of offset, see here: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...t-novices.html

Looking to get some new wheels, wondering if I will need to roll fenders.
-Tein S tech springs currently on vehicle producing a 0.7" drop in front, 0.6" drop in rear. Car was re-aligned with rear camber at -2 degrees both sides
-19x9.5 +15 wheel with 265x35 tires front
-19x10.5 +12 wheel with 285x35 tires rear

Thanks!

Default 18" rims and tire fitment

So looking to get new rims for my Z and i was thinking about getting 18"x8.5" +35 for the front and 18"x9.5" +35 in the rear. front tires would be 235/40R18 in the front and 265/35R18 in the rear. will these tires fit without rubbing? another option I had was 18"x9.5" with a +20 offset in the rear instead. also will the tire 35R and 40R be a problem or should they both be 40R i would say i currently have about a 0.5" drop on the car and have 20" rims on

option A with the +35 offset junk sucks

b. 18+9.5 +20 would work well, front and rear. Throw 245/40 up front and 275/40 rears on it and your set

wouldn’t 245 on a 9.5” wide rim be a bit of a stretch? And isn’t 275 too wide?

You should do a 255/40 front to square up the shoulder

so 255/40 front and 275/40 rear? With 18x9.5 +20 all around?

You might need some camber of front, at minimum remove the top fender liner screw.

I ran those tire sizes on 18x9.5 +15 rear and 18x9.5+23 front

Hi guys, just bought the xxr 527, 18x9.75 +20 square setup, best tire setup for these? I am leaning towards 263 35 square setup, stock height now but I have bc type br coils on the way

All depends..... purpose of car? Track or street? Also, what trim package or easier stated, do you have VDC? If you don't have VDC, ignore the rest and skip to tire size at end.

Reason I ask..... track setups usually revolve around a square setup with 275/35-18 EVEN THOUGH that's not a great setup for street with VDC. Running square will have speed sensors going crazy alerting the ECM that the rears are "slipping" and possibly (80%+ probability) triggering VDC. So, unless you are exclusively tracking and are going to disable the yaw sensor, stick with stagger.

245/275 or 255/285. That's 40 aspect ratio, not 35. 35 is just too low for street. Latter may require some fender work but probably be OK unless you go with lots of low.

Thank you Mic, I want to go square so I can rotate the tires, car is basically a weekend fun car, some canyon and i want to do a little track. It is a 2004 base, should I run the 265 35 or go with 255 40? Based on everything I have been reading i was kind of stuck between those 2 and I am planning to mount tires tomorrow thank you for the help

OK, with that squared away (ha ha, stupid tire joke), I would NOT go with 265/35 and here's why:

Stock 18s are:
225/45/18 25.97"
245/45/18 26.68"

Your alternate choice 265/35-18 = 25.30" (0.67" shorter in front, 1.38" shorter in rear) - this could (will) throw off speedo and will have huge gap between top of tire and fender lip. It's just way too short.

Whereas: 265/40/18 = 26.35" which is right in between the stock diameters. (A little tall in front, a little short in the rear but works OK) Plus, there's still a fair selection of tires in this size. If I had to do square 18s.... this would be my pick. You're not giving away any width and the height works better overall.

thanks for the help brother, surprisingly a ton of people on the xxr wheel thread went 265 35 thats why I was leaning that way but I'm gonna rock the 265 40, I didn't think a 265 would work with a 40 sidewall which is why I was considering 255, thanks again!

Hey y'all just picked up a 2007 350z and previous owner had on 19x9.5 in the front and 19x10.5 in the back varrstoens wheels with tein lowering springs. Ride quality was a bit harsh since the front tires were 255/30. Thinking about getting 255/35 for the front. Would 255/40 be too much and rub? Also it had on 275/35 which looked nice but would 275/40 be too much as well?

255/35 front is perfect paired with 275/35 rear
