Default new wheels, what tires?

Hey everyone, Im new to the forum, just picked up an 03 350z Touring 18" Touring wheels. (completely stock aside from HKS Hipower exhaust and JWT pop charger) about 3 months ago.

I just purchased a brand new set of 19x9.5 30mm offset Rays Nismo LMGT4 silver wheels and was looking to see what size tires to get. I am looking for something as close as I can to stock, not to throw off the abs, vdc or traction control. Can someone please point me in the right direction as to what the best tire size would be?

The stock tires on the car now are : Front 225/45ZR18
Rear 245/45ZR18

Thanks for the help!

Mike

Actually nevermind, i went on discounttiredrect website and it automatically told me what size! Plus One-255/35-19 (Front), 245/40-19 (Rear) and according to the tire size calculator I found on the net they are about 0.1% and 0.2% difference from my stockers, guess I cant get any better than that! Thanks

Is that a typo concerning the 255 for the fronts and 245 for the rears? Your rear tires should be equal if not wider than your front tires.

Overall diameter should be within 3% from oem.

Tire rack kinda sucks for stuff like this.

255/35 front and 275/35 rear
245/35 front and 245/40 rear
255/35 front and 255/40 rear

There are even more great combo's you can run

I'm confused, you list them as 19" wheels and want 18" tires?

Also, did you get 19x9.5 (+30) for all 4 wheels?

Since you're new I would really suggest you read this thread as well:

Would be what i would run, either one you will want spacers just for better looks. Spacers will depend on your tire combo

Along side these wheels i just picked up some brand new light weight pullies(AMS) won the bid on ebay for 100 bucks! Also picked up MotorDyne's Art test pipes, Z1 Motorsports lightweight flywheel and clutch combo as well. Car has JWT pop charger and HKS hi power exhaust system. Im fairly new to the 350z world but have always wanted one since they came out. Ive been doing lots of research on the best parts to buy as well. I am saving up money now for a GTM stage 3 or 4 twin turbo kit.

I own an 03 Ford Focus, stage 2 turbo kit, 4 speed built auto trans, Daytona Blue Metallic Pearl paint job and tons of other modification inside and out. Been building that on and off since i bought it 10 years ago and now im ready to move on to my 350z!

Actually it is the correct offset for the Z , hence the reason the factory wheels are all pretty much +30. Most people just want a more agressive setup.

I should of specified, +30 isn't a good offset if you are going for looks. I usually assume that is what people buy new rims for.

245-35-19 & 275-35-19 is what I would run, congrats on getting the NISMO's I have run them for a long time and love them

Nothing spacers can't fix, the 19x9.5 (+30's) still have a nice lip and even though the offset isn't totally ideal it's worth it to run these wheels since they are so light

Running a 245/35-19 and 275/35-19 combo would work out great and offer a lot of good tire selection.

Thanks for all the input guys, I was going to go with looks but didnt want almost 30 lbs of rim so I did a little research and found these Nismo wheels, and they looked really nice and weigh only 20.7 lbs so I got both the looks and the performance over my stock wheels
