Question Craftsman Hydralic Floor Jack : Where to position ?

I just bought a Craftsman hydralic floor jack to allow me to jack up my Z much eaiser than using the one our cars came with.

I noticed though, my new jack has a circular platform to use for jacking up the car. . . and I have no clue where the best place would be to jack up my car without bending / ruining anything.

I hope someone can help me out with a solid jack point!

Respectfully,
Christopher

You can put some wood on it to create a better platform, like 3-4" of 2x4.

The circular platform is a nice size and I would feel comfortable using it. . . I just need to know if anyone has any suggestions as to the best position for it

I'm not certain about the Z but on the G35 there are specific jacking points on all 4 corners. I'll try to get pics for you.

Thank you very much!

Our Z Jacking Points are on a metal strip. . . not a position to where it is a flat surface. It's notched. I hope there is a solid jacking point for my new floor jack!

The G35 is the same way. It's notched so the factory jack fits better.

I'm probably going to have a piece welded onto my floor jack to fit the Notch. Or I'll have an adapter made.

I have the same jack (I think) and the top plate has a circular plate that has raised edges with sections cut out. I position this at the factory jack points, with the notches in the car metal resting in the jack top plate. That worked very well for me. When I get back home (currently on airport weather delay, who knows when I get back) I'll take some detailed pictures if you're still interested. PM me if you are.
