Default Traction problem?

Recently I've been having a problem "losing control" of the car.

I'm running stock rims with
Ecsta 4X Kumho tires.
225 front and 245 rear (a year or two old 65-80% tread)

With traction control on, I'm making a turn at 10-15 mph, and I lost control! (Lost traction and had to counter steer)
I was surprised as hell.

I've driven in the rain a lot to know what happens in my car and rented cars as well, but for some reason I lose traction really easily in my car.

Traction control doesn't ever seem to kick in when it is raining. (Light rain, not enough to hydroplane)
I feel a bit at risk.

Please don't tell me I'm gassing it too much at the turn. Most of the time now I just let it roll on the turn, with no gas. (which ends up having me roll out on left turns at about 8mph

the streets here in Irvine are fairly clean and wide so it's not a street problem, I think.

I was hoping to get some advice whether or not it may be a faulty traction control option, or anything else.

Edit: Also slip lights come on a green light from a stop. (straight away), I may need an alignment as well for my front tires. (don't know if that will affect rear tires losing traction)

First thing, post all of your tire size.

Doesn't make sense. If TCS is inoperative, a 15 MPH 90 degree turn should be fine. I would get this car on a lift, and have a mechanic look for warn or broken suspension components.

I can't understand your problem. I have a Base model without any of the fancy computer controls and in over 10 years of driving it, I have yet to spin out or lose traction in a low speed situation. To be honest, I've never lost it in a high speed situation either. You need to drive with a lighter foot on the throttle.

This just sounds strange to me... I loose traction when I want to.. With or with out VDC turned on.

He said even if hes going 8 mph it still wants to spin out. Cant get any lighter than that.

Full sizes would be best so we can see if diameters are correct.

I would say 1 of 3 things could result in this:

1. driver error, but you would have to be a REALLY bad driver to do this

2. something broken on suspension

3. Not sure with the area but what are outdoor temps? Here in NY with super low temps the tires don't have any grip until they warm up, and even when they warm up the car can get squirmy very easily

I agree, but you still have to give it the old gas pedal to do so. This guy is talking about 10-15mph and sliding. **** if my car slid that easily I'd actually enjoy it more lmao

Losing it at 10-15 mph you say!

Just kidding…

I wonder if the problem might be a malfunctioning “(locked up”) differential.

I'm at stock tire sizes for a Roadster GT 06

That's what really confuses me too. Even with a light throttle.

the weather here in CA is quite normal, when it rains it's still about 70f

even if it gets to low 60's my front tires are ALWAYS losing pressure down to 25 by the end of the night, so I always have to put it back to 35psi

I'm really starting to think it might be an alignment problem?
Could that cause a easy loss of traction?

as for a broken suspension, I'm not too sure, before spending money on repairs I wanted to get some ideas of what it could be,

I did have a hit and run about a half a year ago, got it repaired but after that the front right wheel gets unaligned after a couple months of driving.

also one of the reasons im losing traction at 15mph is when it drizzles a little is when the road is most slippery with the oil in the road rising up.

Please verify tires , should be 225/45-18 and 245/45-18.

Maybe you are driving on a flat tire??? 25psi is a flat tire... if you don't notice, and then go for a drive, I'm sure that tire's traction is suffering tremendously. You shouldn't have to ALWAYS add air/nitrogen/whatever. Tires don't lose pressure that quickly, they fluctuate with temperature, even with pure nitrogen, but you shouldn't have to add air or nitrogen more than once a month. Once a month is overkill even...

Great point…. Losing 10 psi in a day makes no sense. He’s busy just putting air in his tires! A tire with that low psi is certainly a problem with traction (and many other things). That would also explain his comment:
