Don't listen to any of these jealous Z owners.
If you trust your son enough with the Z, that's all that matters.
The Z was my first car at the age of 18 and I've got in more trouble with my daily driver (Hyundai sonata) than I have in the Z. Only thing is I've got an exhaust ticket on the Z, which isn't anything.
Back to your question, if I was you I'd get XXR 530's. They look much nicer on the Z.
I'm running 18x8.75 in the front and 18x9.75 the rears. Lowered on tein s-techs and I do not rub. Tires are 245/40/18 in front and 285/35/18 in the rears.
Regarding the bore size, you just have to buy some hub centric rings and you'll be good to go.
