I dont see why that wouldnt be safe but sadly its one of those things I will need to read about before I do it. Especially after realizing how fragile the anodized layer is.
you could use a wheel sealant or better yet a coating (several out there)
1 of the Easiest and quickest ways to seal them is with Hydr02.
Longest lasting protection would be a coating (1-2yrs)
