Default Stock OEM Wheel Paint

Recently bought a 2008 350z Grand Touring, just wanted to know how i should go about fixing the little scratches on my wheel. Has a 1 inch curb rash and also, paint/clear coat has been removed. Pictures will be attached, any help is appreciated!

I used a VW touch up color on my Touring wheels, but you'll have the same problem on you GT's I had. The OEM paint is a thin silver over a black base, so it's very tough to match properly.

Here's a before/after, but you can see the touchup silver is too thick and doesn't quite match. Better than nothing, and I suppose a wheel professional could do a better job, but I was changing the wheels anyway.

I vote sand down the imperfections and change the color...

But if you dont want too or are not that motivated I would get some silver nail polish in as close to the correct color and use that for touch up...

Although if the paint is stripped then I think a full paint job might be in order.

Had a body shop paint a set of my GT wheels, they are now grey, when I showed them it didn't match they said that color was hard. How could I expect a professional body shop to do something hard. I plan to take my other set to a wheel restorations specialist hoping they can get close.

I would just repaint all the wheels a more common silver. It will look about the same.
