Question Can a bent track Rays be fixed?

Good afternoon,

Well, I nailed a pothole hear in Cleveland about three weeks ago. At the time, it could do nothing to avoid it. Afterwards, the car rode just fine, but I knew I should check over the front passenger suspension and wheel. Well, Saturday I am washing the car and sure enough, the front passenger rim is bent.

The good news is that the bend is very minor and does not affect the ride, rim, or tire. I only bent the very outer lip about 0.5 cm. It is very minor, but it can be seen.

So, can this minor bend be fixed? Would it be worth the money? Keep in mind, that starting this summer these rims will be my racing and winter rims only. Getting new summer cruising rims soon.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah, they sound like they can be fixed. Advise you look in the yellow pages under wheel repair, or check out the classifieds in the back of magazines like C&D and R&T for wheel repair shops. Best advice is to hook up with local Z club to talk to members experience with different wheel shops to see who has had good experiences. All wheel shops are not created equal.

Yes can be fixed. Probably looking at $180-$200.

It is literally only the very outer lip that is bent. If you look at it, there is a 1 cm wide lip on the outer edge. It is bent down toward the hub by about 0.5cm. The overall bend length is only 8-9 cm at best. So, it is minor but annoying.

Thanks for the link on 1000wheels.com. I will check them out. There is a place around the corner from me called White Wheel. I am going to hit them up too because they are amazing. Anything suspension or wheel related they can do.

Thanks everyone.
