Default Wheel offset for 05 Nissan 350z?

What's the recommended off set for my car. Right now I have XiX rims and they're almost sticking out past the fender. The wheel size is 245z35zr20. I'm just trying to buy a spare.

Is it +20 ?

Depends on the wheel width.

GENERALLY speaking, offsets can be as low as +10 on a "narrow" wheel, say 8", or need to be upwards of +20-25mm for a very wide wheel - say 10.5"+ for proper clearance without fender interference.

Guessing that you're down in the 8.5-9.5" range with that size tire and assuming front application?

So how wide are these 20s?

They're 20 inch rims. My offset is +30

Neither, get rid if those big heavy wheels. Get some 18x9.5 +23 front, 18x9.5 +15 (or +23) rears

I just got into an accident I'm tying to replace the wheel to match my existing ones. Would +30 go past my fender? I'm just trying to fix all of this.

So you have 3 other wheels like this already? You will need to pull off the others and look for an offset stamp on it

There's NO WAY an 8.5" +30 wheel will stick out. NO WAY. Even a +20 shouldn't. You sure there aren't spacers on the car??

FWIW, an 8.5" wide +30 offset wheel will sit in the wheel well EXACTLY like what the car had on it OEM, slightly tucked into the well by about 15-20mm from the inside-top of the arch.

As Trav pointed out, look at the crashed wheel's backplane and verify the offset PLUS, check to see if the previous owner (if you haven't take the wheel off before) added spacers because those numbers just don't add up.

Thx man. No spacers. Carid has the rim but they only have +20 and +35. Do you think I should get the 20 and add spacers or just get the 35?

NO, DO NOT "get +20 and add spacers". Spacers REDUCE offset and push the wheel further outwards.

If anything, it'd be easier to get +35 and add spacers to match the others' offsets. BUT I'M NOT RECOMMENDING THAT. Just explaining that your thinking on that was flawed. Not in bad way, again, just explaining.

Instead, do as travlee says below:

And in case you can't find offset markings on the wheel, read this:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...t-novices.html

Explains how to determine your offset with a ruler and straightedge.
