Hello everyone. I recently bought a 350z as a project car for $4000. I'm new to the forums and was wondering if you guys could help me out with wheel selection. The car is on stock height btw. I am looking to have this Z as a daily driver and a car more for looks not the track since im only a 16 year old student haha. I'm just looking for some wheels that match the paint color of the door handles on the z which is a sort of matte silver finish. If any of you could find some nice wheels that match the color of the door handles it'll be much appreciated!! My budget is $700 which is very low but I'm a bus boy lol. So reps are probably what I'm going to go with and people will probably give me a lot of hate for it but its only a daily driver. Thanks to everyone of the Z community!!

I could offer you the waaaaay cheap set of G35 18s I have but that wouldn't be right. Point is, you're looking at used if you want a set with tires for that budget.

If that's for "wheels only", there's tons on EBay or craigslist.... ESR, Varrstoen, and any number of no name knockoffs.

wheels are tailored to one's personal taste. you would have to narrow out what you like most, then narrow down to your price range. I could recommend something but you might not like it. Its like asking what is the illest haircut you can get for $5 bucks. You won't like the answers because its tailored to one's taste.

a 4k project car sounds like you could do some maintenance work before doing any aesthetic modifications. But as a forum member, I will answer your question directly: ambit rep wheels, i've seen them go for that low USED.

and to the post above me....knockoff RPF1s? they are already fairly cheap. why would you rep a "rep".

no that does not include tires. I'm not cheaping out on those. Those are later. The esr wheels looks great for the price even tho they're reps. I just
wish they had a color that matched the door handles not like that machined faced color they offer

 

I'm looking more for options for example I just wanted to see if you guys knew about any wheels that came in the color of the door handles on our car so they can match. And no worries on maintenance. I changed oil, filter, coolant, belts, spark plugs etc. I always make sure to out maintenance first

 

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw them. The value of RPF1s (real ones) is their strength and weight for a good price - which is still nearly twice the cost of these throwaways. And for Trav's favorite BOABs there's that appeal. Hahahahahahaha....

You mention RPF1s as reps.... yeah, guess so, but at least they're reps of "the real thing"... RePlicas of F1 wheels.



And for the OP, we get you want door handle matching wheels cuz you said it like four times. Tell you what, why don't you look in the Wheel & Tire section and as it was noted above, see what you like and then look for that style in the finish you want by matching them - at least to a pic of the door handles on your computer. Surely you'll find something you like. Honestly though, closest you're going to come to the door handles (I'm betting) are factory wheels like Anniversary or post-06 5 spokes.....

we have the same wheel and brake set up. RPF01s and NT03s i feel are perfect fit for the Z. any JDM car really...

 

just remember.....the heavier the wheels.....the slower the Z.
