Default Anyone?? Will 275/30/20 work on 20x9 for front?

I am going crazy with this. I have been told by many people it won't work and told by many that it will work. I have in my possession 20x9 and 20x10 Axis Se7en Mods for my Z. The tires I was told to get that will work are 275/30/20 and 285/30/20. The 275 for the front and the 285 in the rear. Has anyone done this and does it fit? Please help. It took me a month and a half to get these wheels/tires and now my local tire guy is telling me they will not fit. I told him to mount them anyways. I have heard people doing this on the G35 but has it been done on the Z with the Axis Se7en mods.

Thanks for any help.

275 at the front? I don't think so....
widebody will solve the problem tho

BTW you don't need that wide at the front, performance decreases

No, those will not fit without some serious fender work, as far as I have heard. You dont need 275s up front anyway, that seems huge! Correct stagger should have been 245 front and 275 or 285 rear.

Well...I put them on there and there is room. Not much but I can move the tire/wheel back and forth and no rubbing whatsoever. I still think they are too big but I was told where I bought them that they would fit.

Explain to me the how my performance will decrease? I would think my handling performance would increase...more rubber on the ground. I know my engine/power performance will decrease but I don't care about the engine/power performance...that is why I have a Viper. I was just trying to go for a PHAT look and the 20's will do that but I was told 275/30/20 on Axis Se7en Mods will fit. They do fit but there is no more than a 1/4" clearance when I turn the wheel. I will go test it this morning and then I will post pics.

Thanks for the reply. How do you come up with the correct stagger of 245/275? I would agree that is a great stagger but if 275/285 would work on this car wouldn't that be even a better stagger? Better handling? And if I had a supercharger on there then it would be even better. I am wishing I would have done the 245/275 setup but where I bought the wheels/tires they told me it would fit.

I actually have the 275's on the car and I don't see where I will need fender work. I could be way off but the car is on the ground and I have turned the wheel all the way both ways and no rubbing. I have bounced up and down on the car and no rubbing. Now the real test....driving it. I will let you know.

Yes as you notice already I was meaning that the performance will decrease speedwise... of coz more rubber on the ground gives you more grip, better corners. but they just slow you down because of the grips increased.

Explain to me the how my performance will decrease? I would think my handling performance would increase...more rubber on the ground.
