Default Fikse or Kinesis ... your thoughts ?

=So, do you guys prefer Fikse or Kinesis ...

FYI, whatever I get will be full polish ... same as the iForgeds.

DEFINITELY parting with the iForged this summer ... no DOUBT ... time for a change ... anyone in Dallas is welcome to an awesome deal, everywhere else, awesome deal plus shipping. I will be parting with them in about 3 months when Kinesis makes the K59 reverse drop wheel ... unless I go with Fikse ...

If you are interested in the full polished iForged Aeros, PM me with an offer. The wheels have 4 month old Michelin Pilot Sports on them. 19x9 w/ 255's and 19x10.5 w/ 295's and no rubbing. Unless you come up with a deal I can't pass up, sale will finalize when new wheels arrive (could be 3-4 months).

Definitely go for the Kinesis, IMO its by far the best "made" wheel out there and just super strong. Also it seems pretty rare on the Z.

the kinesis are rare, but i haven't seen a set of fikse's on a Z yet...kinesis i have.

tough choice...both are excellent. kinesis is a few miles from my work, and i have seen many of their wheels. very nice. from what i understand, fikse might be a bit lighter.

I love the Fikse Profil 5, this was one of the wheels I was considering but too much $$. It would look sick fully polished!

They are fairly light too, around 21-23lbs as I recall from an email I received from them.

I vote for the Fikse. I don't like the way a Z looks with the bolts around the perimiter of the wheel. Fikes puts them on the inside so you cant see them.

They are all strong wheels, but keep in mind that a forged wheel is stronger than a forged billet wheel. A billet wheel starts life as a huge lump of forged metal and then it is cut into shape. A forged wheel is forged right into its final shape and then machined slightly to make it pretty. When you forge something into its final shape, the grain flow of the metal follows the shape of the design. In a billet the grain flow does not.

This is why you will never see a billet piston, only forged pistons.

Fikse any day. Fikse makes the strongest wheel on the market, and I've seen them survive many argicultural excursions on the track as well as many accidents. I'd love a set myself, but I simply don't have the money...

Just so you guys know my thoughts:

K59 reverse drop (when made) in full polish

OR

Fikse Profil 5 in full polish

So far the vote is:

Fikse: 4

Kinesis: 4

I think the Kinesis looks better, but I know that Fiske has been putting out very high quality rims for quite a while now. How much do you plan to sell the Aeros for?

Fikse. I'm leaning towards the Profil 5S myself.
