Default Best tires for the rain?

So the rainy season is starting to get here, and my stock tires are completely gone (they only gave me about 9k miles ).
I want to purchase tires that will grip during the rain, so what are the best tires out there for this situation, from personal experience?

Are the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S good ones? I think some people in here have those, but i want to hear some more personal reviews of the tires on the Z's.

Thanks in advance.

From personal experience here in Texas, where the rain comes in very heavy downpours, I love the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. Very reassuring when it is wet on the road. Surprisingly, this tire outscored the Ultra high performance all season tires on the tirerack.com website even though it is rated a Max performance summer tire. Check out the tirerack website.

Default Eagle F1 GS-D3

Went with the GS-D3's and the grip in both dry & wet is great - love 'em! They are not runflats. Got 'em at tirerack.com: $252 for rear 275/40/18 & $212 for front 245/40/18. I was influence by both tirerack's evaluation of them & the way they performed on my buddy's C5 'vette. Good traction, great in the rain, low, low road noise, & aggressive looking tread design.

I have Bridgestone S03's, the Pole Positions work really well in the rain, and they are very sticky in the dry pavement

Goodyears here, too. I never thought I'd buy GY, because they have always been over-rated, but these are the real deal. Overall as good as they come, and magnificent in the wet.
