To go 19" or not to go 19"...
I'm about to get new wheels but I can't decide if I want to go 19" or stay 18"... I know 19"s will look way better but I'm worried about the ride change... can someone who's bump'd up please give me a lil insight on how much of a difference you felt with the size change... thanx...
PS... I'm in NY, in other words our roads suck! lol

IMO, go with 18s. I went from stock to Nismo 18s. 18s handle better, handle bad roads better, tires are less, and IMO, fit the car. Most members will disagree with me, but since I got my Nismos, I've never looked back.

I just upgraded to 19's and the ride is noticeably harsher. It's not that bad though. Also, i notice a bit more road noise, but that could just be the tires. If i could do it over again, i would still choose to go with 19's.

Well, most will tell you to go with what they got. First of all, the stock tires suck. The stock package gave me a real bouncy ride, and I have felt the difference twice, since I had to send my 19s back to get repaired. I really think the ride is about the same when you are talking about the stock setup vs 19s and good tires. I feel the impact a tad more I think, but the car takes bumps better and it decreases the bounciness a little from stock. The car feels alot more stable with the 19s on my car.
The 18s will probably ride better than stock, though, whereas the 19s are about the same. That is how much the stock setup sucks. Of course, I am comparing 17s to 19s, so take that into consideration.

im from NY..brooklyn to be exact....19's is not harsh as far as smoothness in ride...but it SUCKS driving on the shitty streets
i had my 17's on for a while and they were so much more enjoyable cause i didnt have to worry but the 19's look so much better than 18's
put it this way..get forged wheels..any pothole that destroys your 19" forged wheel will destroy your 18" forged wheel so i guess go with what looks good

Depends on the rim...
Some rim designs look a LOT better in a larger size. If you're getting something with a lip, the 18 inchers will look tinier than your stock rims (b/c lips have that sort of effect). I say stick with some 18s without a lip...that way you can have nice looking rims but won't be conscious that they look too small. I agree the 19s look dope...but wheels seem to get exponentially more expensive with every inch you add.

18's on the Ce28n's look like crap IMO. So when they came out with 19's I jumped all over it. They are only 19 pounds each so they are not heavy by any means.
The sig pic makes the rear wheel look smaller FYI. Just the angle at which it was taken.
So I agree with the above statement. 19's make certain designs look a LOT better, and an 18 with a lip would look way to small.
BTW I am toying with the idea of powdercoating my wheels black with a polished lip, not certain though.. I don't want to jack the thead, but what do you all think?

Eh. I prefer a C cup over a D cup.
Speaking of wheels, I think the 20's are more of a D cup ( to big for my taste ) and the Ccup would be 19's ( Juuuust right )
