Advise on bigger tires/wheels
I have a Roadster the Touring model. I'm considering 18x8.5" w/ .35 offset in front and 18x8.5" w/ .25 offset in back with P235x40R18 in front and P255x4018 in back. Any advise on how these would fit/look and if the offsets are ok would be helpful. I want the wheels at the edge of the fender, but don't want them to stick out.
I'm considering either the Continental Extreme Contact or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ... are the Michelins worth the extra $$?
I'm looking at the Fitipaldi Force wheels .... any feedback there would be helpful too.
Thanks,
Gregg

the better choice for tire size in front is 245/40-18....
as for offsets... they seem fine and will fit in the wheel opening... the front offset is not that aggressive and probably won't push the tires to the edge of the fender, more likely the tire will be inset just a little... the rear offset is about the same as the Track model wheel's offset, which is also inset a little... so, you probably won't be out to the fender edges with these wheels
front offset about 22 on an 8.5" wheel will push the wheel toward the fender edge in the front... in the back, go with 9.5" wide wheel with 22 to 25 offset and a 275/40-18 tire and you will fill up the wheel opening nicely
If it were my money, I'd skip the Michelin... you are paying a lot for name... I've never used them, so I don't know much about them, but Continetal is OEM on some very high performance cars, so they can't be all that bad
