Default Track Model: Smallest dia. you can fit? DRAG

I really want to get some dedicated wheels just to throw on for the track. I have a Track model so I don't know how small of a wheel I can fit over my rear brakes and what offset to get. Would 16' mustang wheels fit??? All us track owners need help.

you can probably get a 16" wheel to fit over the rear Brembos, since the caliper is small... offset should be somewhere in the 22 to 35 range.... the Mustang wheels will sorta fit the becuase they have the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, but the centerbore is not the same so you will need hub centering rings...

Any idea where to get these hub centering rings? I would like to buy a set of mustang 17" wheels, since they are much cheaper than the 350z wheels, but I wouldn't know where to get the rings.....

you might try the guys at Discount Tire Direct... as long as you know the dimensions of the centerbore of the wheel, they can check what they have and find one that will step the centerbore down from the Mustang size to the Z size...

So, for instance... if the Mustang wheel centerbore is 65mm and the Z centerbore is 58mm (I don't actually know, I'm just guessing on teeh sizes), you will need a hubcentering ring that is 7mm thick to fill in the space and center the Mustang wheel onto the Z hubs.

Hope that helps,

Hmm, i wonder if there is a local place that will sell these.

Does anyone want to split some wheels with me? I have found a few 17x8 wheels (mustang) for about $200 for all 4. I only need two.

Let me know!

I use factory oem Cobra R 17x9 rims and they fit perfect on the Z. I am also running a 275/40/17 DR.... I don't have the brembos but don't see a problem... Also, try Ebay, I picked mine up for $350 with tires for the pair and the OEM Cobra wheels are LIGHT!

Did you need any sort of spacer for the hub so that it would fit correctly around the hub? I was told there needs to be a spacer since the hub cutout in the mustang is much bigger than in the infiniti.
