Default Need some opinions & help

My VDC has been going off, the car doesn't seem quite as stable and I do feel the slip. Here's what I've done.

Got rid of the rear tires and put on some new Toyo's. Balanced all four. Did a 4 wheel alignment.

I can't figure out what the problem is. I thought maybe the rear new tires need some time to break in but it still doesn't explain the slip and the VDC kicking in as often as it does.

I have to reduce my tire pressure because the alignment guys bumped it way up but, I don't think that's the final problem either. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, the car seems very unstable. And, VDC is going off way too often. Anyone have similar problems?

what size tires did you put on? I have heard of some issues with different diameter tires.

225/245 18 40s. Standard. I thought of that too. Think I have to take it in. But, I'm expecting no results at the dealership. I'm not certain what the problem is and I don't think I'll get an answer there either. That's why I was hoping to hear from someone else who has had the same problem. Thanks for posting.

How long have you had the tires on there?

Stock size is 225/45-18 and 245/45-18

Having the rear tires too small may be the problem. Maybe it thinks you are always slipping, even though the stagger is still there. Can you swap out the tires for the correct size?

Unfortunately, Toyos do not come in 45s. The 40s were working fine before I put on new rears.

I believe the problem may be with my right front. When I had the guys balance the tire, something must have gone wrong. This tire was previously curbed and repaired. After a few days of driving, I'm noticing a thumping sound at high speed and, I think I've isolated the VDC kicking in and the ABS working on the front right.

Think I'lll take it into the dealership to verify that this is the problem and try rebalancing the front wheels again.

Thanks for the posts gents.
