I use Z-7 carwash and I apply Zaino to them just like any other part of the car. Mine are pretty clean. Also, I don't recommend using a brush on the wheels. Just use a rag. The brushes that are aggressive enough to wash the wheels with may leave scratches.

I have experimented with the many different wheel cleaners available throughout the years and some will "haze" your wheels. IMO Castrol and Dupont wheel cleaners work the best.

I took my moms wheels off her car the other day to give them a thorough cleaning, but they were too dirty for me to just scrub all the brake dust off. I was thinking of using a cleaner/degreaser to get them clean. you guys think that would work? would it be harmful to the finish of the wheel or anything?
