Default Size of the Rim

I just would like to know what size of the Rim would fit perfectly on my Z.

and Im also looking to get 19inch.

some people telling me to get 9.5 wide on the Rear.. and 8.5 wide on front...

I really wanna make SURE before I get the Rim... I don't want it to stick out too much.
But just fit nice and perfect !!

And I love Deep dish lip on the rear wheels!!!!

Thanks

it's not just the rim widths that matter... you could get a 10" for the back and still not have it "stick out"... you have to be concerned with the offsets too

if you do a search you'll come up with the offsets you need...

IMO here's the optimal range for those sizes

19x8.5 +15 to +25
19x9.5 +20 to + 30

first of all, im so sorry that im using this picture for example..

but, this guy has 19 x 9.5 wide on rear.
and its not fitted. its still small, u know?

Do I have to get, at least 19 x 10.5 on rear to make it fit right?

Thanks for respond!

check this post... its my rims. 9.5" rears 8.5" fronts, all 19" diameter. I think the offset is perfect and it nicely fills up the wheelwells.

lemonjihwan: no problem... everyone is a wheel/tire newbie at the beginning ... when you're shopping for rims for the Z... there are at least 3 stats you should be most concerned with, from a sizing perspective (another important stat is rim weight, but I won't get into that here)

1) Rim size - do you want an 18, 19 or 20?

2) Rim width - do you want an 18x8.5, 19x8.5, 20x8.5 in the front? 18x9.5, 19x9.5, 20x9.5 in the back? (and so on...) Typically for the Z, you'd want staggered widths for the front and back... meaning if you run an 8 in the front, then run a 9 in the back. Rule of thumb is +1 to +1.5 inch width from the front to back (up to 10.5 inches, after that your wheels will rub your fenders). This of course is preference... there are plenty of people running the same widths front and back with no problems with appearance or driveability

3) Rim offset - determines how much caliper clearence you have, and how sunk-in your wheel will look. Click here to learn more: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm

Because the Z is a RWD car, most of the wheels being sold out there are not in proper sizes for the Z... you'll notice that most wheels have offsets in the +30 to +40 range to accomodate hondas, mazdas, VWs and so on... which fit great on FWD cars but will look WAY sunk in on a Z... so make sure you are shopping for rims with lower offsets in the range of +10 to +25

My original suggestion still works, but because it sounds like you're looking for something agressive, I'll change my numbers a bit... if you're looking for 19x8.5 and 19x9.5... look for offsets in this range, and you'll be happy

19x8.5 -> about +15 to +25
19x9.5 -> about +18 to +27

thanks for the compliments.

Also, I would HIGHLY reccommend getting a forged set of wheels if you get 19"s. Cast wheels will bend more easily if you hit potholes, and you will be out the $$$. Seriously, spend the extra money now on the lighter, stronger forged wheels.
