Default NISMO wheels of VDC equipped Touring

I have a Roaster Touring and would like to put on the NISMO wheels. I have read that in order to do that, I should also install the NISMO stabilizer and suspension kits, or otherwise VDC is not going to work right or something.

Anyone have any comments on this?

You'll be fine, VDC will in no way be effected.

That's Nissan BS. The VDC will be just fine - If you follow their recommendations for tire size. 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 in back

BTW, if you haven't bought the wheels yet, PM me, and I can get you a super deal.

Lou

I have a 04 Touring with the 18" Nismo wheels with out the other Nismo stuff, works great. 245's up front 275's in the rear.

Nissan's just covering their **** with that claim. They used to say that the S Tune suspension wouldn't work with VDC equipped cars, but that was only because they hadn't done any testing yet (plenty of forum members did, and we're all still fine--lol). You'll be fine.

as long as you run 245/40/18 in the front and 275/40/18 in the rear you wont have VDC problems...

Default Nismo

They work great on mine. 245 / 275 . Use the recommended stagger and you will be ok.

PS thanks for providing me another excuse/reason to post yet another pic of my Brickyard.

Those wheels look SWEET! I am just having trouble justifying the $2000+ expense just for the wheels and at least 2 new tires. I may do the exhaust first.

Uh, TWO new tires? You need FOUR new tires dude!
Nismo recommended tire sizes are
F - 245/40R18
R - 275/40R18

OEM tire sizes are
F - 225/45R18
R - 245/45R18
Different profiles!

Default $3000.00 upgrade

Dont think of it that way.

$2000 for the wheels, $1000.00 for the tires and then sell your wheels and tires.

I sold my track wheels and two good tires for $1500.00, so in essense I olny need $1500.00 for the upgrade.

See ya

Mine...

$1,600 for the wheels (including tax/shipping)
880 for the T1s tires (including tax/shipping)
100 for tire mounting/balancing
( 500) for stock wheels/tires (Touring 18's)
----------
$2,080 total

That wasn't so bad....
