Default Please help! Wheel Q

I am looking at switching my stock 350Z 17inch wheels with the 20 inch Infiniti FX45 wheels. Will this hurt any performance numbers signifacantly? Also does anyone know the weight of each of these wheels? Thanks so much for any help.

Hi, I'm not an expert, but what I've heard is that performance worsens as you increase wheel size. You can improve the handling with bigger and wider wheels + rubber, but you won't feel as fast or nimble with increased size.

***** wonky... oh

yeah... if you're worried about performance, don't do it. On the flip side, I'd be interested to see how it looks.

They're probably *real* heavy considering they are designed to support a vehicle with a gross weight of 5600lbs (4300 + max carrying weight).

What tires will you run? 245/30/20 & 275/30/20 in the rear? It would be funny to see if the FX45 tires fit on there...rally car anyone? 30.4" diameter on a 265/50/20 versus 26.3" on a 235/50/17.

Oh, 275's might be a stetch if the wheels are only 8 inches wide...not sure how wide they are...

There is a picture og a Z from Japan with the FX 20" wheels. It looked really funny, I wouldn't do it.

The FX style wheel is too luxury for the Z.

I'll try to find that pic again.
