Default Opinions wanted on best all around tires

I got 18+8.5 and 18+9.5 wheels on the way. Looking at tires and would like your opinion on the best all around tire . I live in the midwest and winters [do not drive it much in winter ] are bad . Looking to get 245/40 fr. and 275/40 rear Thanks...Bill

so you want a performance tire that can work in the snow. i dont have a clue, but recommend picking up a dedicated winter set of winter shoes. then get an ultra hi perf for the rest of the yr

bfg kd series looks promising. or if you want the good stuff a bfg drag radial is better, but wont last long

Bridgestone S0-3's (fantastic grip levels), Toyo T1's (great grip, better ride quality), Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (newest tire on the market, rated as an all-season tire with the grip levels of the Bridgestone, great wet weather handling, expensive)
I have the Toyo's on my 19in wheels and like them alot except for their at the limit (on track) handling is a little squirrely. If your just cruising around on them and not pushing the envelope too much I'd just get a set on cheapo Falcon's or Kuhmo's.

you will have a height stagger with that setup and on the sedan, you don't want that (just won't look right, IMO) - I think you should go with 245/40 fronts and 275/35 rears - those actually match up to the stock sizes better...

my vote is for the BFG KD's as well - next best thing to R-compound there is...
