On the axis website it says that they are lightweight track wheels......I may take them over the hiro if they are indeed lighter....I just wish they made them in a 19inch application but oh well 18s are fine with me.

They look just like the hiros but they have that hollow spoke technology bit.

nope they are not discountinued. They are light wieght. Spokes are made out of magneisum(sp) so they are strong as well.

I promise you the spokes are NOT magnesium - if they were, you couldn't afford them! But for real, they are just hollowed-out cast aluminum... lighter than the average cast wheel, something similar to what MAT is to Enkei...

magnesium is not strong at all. very light, but very weak. magnesium wheels should ONLY be used on the track, if you want to keep them in 1 piece.
