I have to agree as well, when it comes to Iforged, let Paul at Avalon Racing work the order....great service, best price, and you will probably look to them for further orders.

I have directed others their directicon without regret and their rep stands for it self.

I'm not affiliated with Avalon, but if you are serious about a purchase, pm me and we can talk. I'll shoot you straight on expectations.....and I think "Moog" can attest to that.

Care to elaborate on the exact problems you heard about? besides the long build time, I have heard of no problems.

iforged's worst thing was customer service ... this has pretty much cleared up since avalon racing has taken over the ordering process .

Besides the long build time, my right front and left rear developed air leaks. Had to take the tires off and pretty much coat the whole rim with some industrial silicone a friend got me from Sea Ray. I did this on all 4, just to so I didn't have to come back and do the other 2 later. Also, the clear coat has peeled off of all of them. You can't really tell there is no clear on them, unless you get down and drag a finger across the surface and feel the brushed finish. So, save a little more cash and get some HRE's or Volks.

Okay....I'm gonna chime in here as well.

No one has been more negative about iForged than me. I had a dealing with them well over a year ago that really had nothing to with the quality of their wheels, and everything to do with their horrid business ethics. I made my experience public and let everyone know how I felt and to beware of these guys.

Over the past months I have read many things about iForged....some bad....some good. One thing I did find out, however, is that dealing with Avalon Racing for a set of custom forged wheels (HRE or iForged) has been a good experience for anyone who has done so.

I've said many times that I think the iForged Aero was the best looking wheel I've ever seen for the Z....or almost any other car for that matter. After trying different sets of Volks, I was never totally happy.....I still wanted that five spoke, multi-piece, riveted style wheel. When I recently found that the HRE 545R looked exactly like the iForged Aero, I contacted Paul at Avalon.

I have never had the pleasure of speaking with a nicer or more knowledgable person in my life. We discussed many things, but the bottom line is, he convinced me that there was no need to spend HRE prices for what I wanted. He sold me on a set of iForged wheels. Yep......you're reading that right. The good thing is, if there is anything wrong with these wheels, and I mean ANYTHING, I only have to deal with Paul. No lies, no excuses, no bull$hit.

I made this choice for several reasons: the incredible price that Paul gave me.......the fact iForged uses the same forger as HRE........the fact that HRE is now usually as long or longer delivery time than iForged........and most of all, because I would be dealing directly with a man of utmost integrity and reputation. I still have a problem with iForged getting my business, but they do have a product that I like and as long a Paul makes his share of the profit and acts as my agent, I can live with that.

I've now served up the ball to iForged.......let's see if they can live up to the expectations of their agent and his customer. If they do deliver a set of high quality wheels on time (6-8 weeks), I'll be the first one to highly recommend them (through Avalon, of course), and the first one to call BS if they don't.

The order was placed on August 30........this should be fun........

my situation was similar to zztop...i have not been as animated as he has about it because frankly i spent too much energy with them to be writing about it on the forum

i just had to order one wheel from them (dont ask why) and i called avalon first cause id rather go through them...but vince at iforged offered to give me the same price that i originally paid for the wheel so i went through iforged (avalon had to charge me more cause its simply the flat rate right now)

placed the order august 9th and it shipped out exactly one month from then...it should be here tomorrow

if it is ill be happy (if the quality is good)...granted it takes shorter to make 1 wheel than it does 4 but wtvr

all i can say is that no matter how much anyone over there improves as far as customer service goes you just never get that satisfying feeling that you are in good hands..

truth is, dealing with iforged made me feel like it was normal to have things go wrong when dealing with vendors...which is not a good thing...so i often find myself being TOO nice when i shouldnt be

True dat........I'm still VERY apprehensive about iForged, but I'll feel much better when (or "if") I get an excellent set of wheels from them....and I'll be as vocal about their positive aspects as I was about their negative ones if this happens. Nothing would make me happier than to be able to highly recommend iForged wheels.

Having said that, too many customers on many different forums have expressed their bad dealings with them for me to ever believe they have suddenly changed into a great company. Hopefully Paul, having many more deals with them than the average individual, has a higher level of importance on their list, and they won't screw with his customers.

As a side note, Paul informed me that iForged will be at SEMA (November) in Las Vegas for the first time. I'm sworn to secrecy, but they'll be announcing something about their products that sounds very promising.

For now, I'm staying open-minded and looking forward to an awesome set of wheels.

Avalon is great with customer service. Got my exhaust from them. I still do not recommend iForged to anyone. I will most likely keep the iForged junk on my car, as I would rather put cash toward another bike and goodies for it. Then again, some SF Challenges would look nice too.
