largest possible rim width for 255's
i did a search and could only find what the MINIMUM rim width should be for a given tire width...usually 85% of the tire tread width.
with that in mind...i have 255 which turns out that my minimum rim width should be 8.55" (8.53 act.)...so...
What is the widest rim width in which i can safely put on 255's. (in the future i want wider tires but am stuck with 255's for the time being...i would like to put on 275's in the future and that requires 9.5" or so.)
Long Story longer...can i put 255's on a 9.5" rim?
Please help me.
