Default Anybody get feathering on T1S's??

I got a G35C with 19 inch GTCs with T1S. The tire is making noises and its not a balancing issue and the wheel is not wobbly. I hope I didnt warp a wheel

I think it might just be a characteristic of the Toyo T1S. I purchased a set of 19" Racing Hart CX's from Mike at RevHigh and the first day I noticed a roaring type sound. I have an 04 Z.

I am putting another set of wheels on my car this weekend and they will be wrapped in SO3's. I will let you know if I experience the same type of noise.

I've got 7M miles on a set of TS1's and no signs of feathering or uneven wear. These tires are a little noisy.

They are louder than stock tires. Better performing tires are usually louder. They also feather, or wear on the inside edges - just like every other tire does on the Z.

right off the bat, I noticed my brand new T1S were louder than my brand new RE040's. At 8000 miles, my T1S are feathering slightly, so the roaring has gotten louder upon braking.

I think the T1S are loud because the grooves are much wider than most other tires. That's another reason why they're lighter too...less rubber.

Yea mine are louder upone braking as well. I am relieved that I am not the only one. Gonna get that one tire rebalanced to see if that reduces the noise. I took off the wheel today to inspect it and there are no signs of any type of damage whatsoever *sigh of relief*

Sorry guys, I think it may be the car, not the tire.
These are the tires of choice among the MB crowd for that very reason - they are quiet! (and also they have very "rounded" shoulders so we can fit larger tires into our puny wheel wells)
If you look at Consumer Reports, the only high performance tire which they rate as quieter is the Continental ContiSport Contact 2
