Default My volks are ruined

Well, I got lazy and decided to take my car to a car wash for the first time ever. And just my luck, they decided to use mothers mag/aluminum wheel polish on my wheels, ruined the clearcoat. They offered to pay for the fix, so long story short. Anyone got any good recomendations for the So. Cal area that can fix this? I'm in orange county to be exact. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your wheels narkotic. I know there are places that will take care of this, however I don't personnally know of one to recommend.

I was going to suggest that you post this in the Southern California forum as well. Someone there is bound to know of a shop you can use.

Good luck on finding a good shop for your wheels.

Same thing happened to my wheels. If you find a place to do it let me know. I'll have the wheels off for winter, so I'll be able to ship them.

well, you could use www.wheeltechnologies.com , they aren't local, but about 25 per wheel to send them off (ups ground), and 125 to refinish each, with a 24 hour turnaround on their end. but there has to be a few refinishers in socal also. I think wheel wizards is a chain.

There is a good place in Santa Ana that does clear coating, repair and chroming.

They fixed a small curb mark on my Ro_Ja by Rays rim in a quick amount of time.

http://www.wheel-repairs.com

The only thing is that the way Rays does their clearcoat cannot be replicated here due to our enviromental standards.

The clearcoat will never be as birght.

I would honestly get the car wash to pay to chrome the barrels.

Hope this helps.

whoa, using the wrong polish on the wheels can ruin the rims, not the car wash.
