We have ordered the gold spoked LM's before - awesome wheels! I just put an email into BBS Japan to find out the ETA for them.

since when did i say bbs was a japanese company?

it's obvious you guys had no clue what you were talking about, since apparently i was the only one that knew the only way to get bbs lm's in gold was to order them from japan. thanks tho.

thanks z1!

actually that line of wheels you can ONLY get from Japan.

Japan has a very big market on the BBS LM wheels. They've been a long time favorite.

You can get them in gold / silver and I believe there is also a new Version II that came out earlier this year.

GOOD CHOICE!

Sorry dude! Didn't realize who I was dealing with. Might have been helpful to specify that you wanted someone to hook you up with an affiliate of BBS Japan.

i might forgive you.

anyways. yea, i'm from the bmw scene also and it seems like NOONE has these wheels. i'm tired of seeing the nismos and the volks so i want to try something diff.

i imagine they are going to be ~1k a piece. i'm not sure if i should get them or go SC.

and btw "is the only way i can get this wheel in the correct offset/color direct from japan? anybody have any hook ups?"

if that's not specifiying i wanted a hook up.. then i duno how else to put it.

Did someone say pics?

Here are a couple of LMs w/ custom paint gunmetal center on Mike Myers car from Evolution Motorsports. I used to own a VW and BBS wheels are popular choices for us.

Pic of the whole car, S/C'd VR6 GTI

18" LM w/ AP BBK

These are the CHs from Martin's car, they will look pretty sweet on a Z too, but don't have the lip that most ppl want. Oh that dude w/ shorts was me

I apologize to Mike and Martin for posting their pics w/o their permisson, hope they don't mind

I remember seeing pics of a Redline 350z in Japan sporting Gold centered BBS LM's. Gives the car a nice JGTC look to it.

I'm sure the pics were on these forums embedded somewhere in the banks. I'll post it here if I come across it again.

Contact SpeedWare Motorsports 425-869-5680, they are the BBS distributor for the Northwest, they got me special order 17x8.5" BBS RGR Silver finish with 25mm offset from Japan, for my Racecar. I know they can get those wheels for you, they do a lot of custom orders with BBS for race and street applications.

For those of you not in the know, almost all of the Forged BBS wheels (except for the RC) are now Made in Japan, all the cast wheels are still made in Germany. The forging plant that produces them in Japan is supposed to be the most technologically advanced forging facility in the world....

^^^ yup. i have also heard that the forging processes used in japan are superior to all.

anyways, for some reason.. some of those LM's seem to big for the car. maybe i will go down to a 17"? i want a car without the bling look, but a car with that.. i'll eat you at the track look.
