fyi: shipping is not cheap. I use UPS because its the best way to ship large items, which USPS will refuse to take these parts. The largest item i shipped (NYC) was a 2 piece exhaust and it was titanium through UPS, USPS denied me. All these carriers box large items, which I spoke to the UPS manager. If you guys know any other companies that can ship these tires safely and cheap, let me know.

You can try HAAS industries. I'm in the networking business and I ship a lot of freight items around. Typically we use HAAS and FedEx freight. Not sure how much they charge though since everything I ship just gets billed to my department and finance takes over from there. But I do know their service is good/reliable/punctual. The same can be said for FedEx.

 

I've never had a problem shipping tires USPS Parcel Post (now called Standard Post). Just duct tape them together and it's roughly 24"x24"x22" at ~50 lbs. I just did an online quote from coast to coast for $108. As a matter of fact, when you're getting a quote and select "Large Package," it shows a picture of a tire

 

For reference purposes, I shipped Tires via Fedex to Canada, and their pricing was far below UPS ($70 cheaper). Clear packing tape will also work, just tape 3 or 4 sides, 2 tires together. The shipping carriers also provide clear envelopes you can stick to your tires and put the tracking/invoice/shipping papers inside so that they won't get damaged/unreadable during shipping.

Fedex cost of picking up = $7 or $8 + whatever their online quote is (the price quoted can change depending on actual weight/dimensions, but my actual charges were $1 or $2 more or less)

 

the last set of tires I bought, dude shipped them greyhound. I heard their prices are very good to ship. I hear people using them to ship bulk items such as tires and bumpers.

That was for across country. It's less for closer destinations.

 

Quoted ^^DM $61 for the cheapest (w/o track #) and $80 ground w/ track # number. I ask ups and even spoke to the manage why they don't just ship as is. But they apparently don't like any large package w/o being boxed. So they quoted me $80 with the tires separately boxed. Like you said, it all comes down to weight and size dimensions.

I also shipped through the mail and I remember it was the cheapest of all.
I didn't even have to put 2 tires together. I just printed out shipping address and
masking taped it on the tire. I shipped total of 4. Goodluck on the sale bro.

 

^thanks for the advice! So the tires are sold. Buyer transferred payment but pending on my side because a situation occurred at greyhound after I filled out the paper work and was ready to tape the tires together. Last night, I stopped by to have an exact shipping quote. I even ask if I can ship tires as is and taped together. He assured me that it was fine. He gave me $69 with free $100 coverage and tracking #. I was like well damn, sounds good to me! So Today I went to greyhound to get the tires shipped but after filling out the paperwork and had the tape ready to tape the tires together. The manager/supervisor came out and told me I wasn't able to ship those tires without having it being wrap with something thin to prevent other package frm being "damaged". Which seemed understandable. So I asked how much would it be? She told me to buy it yourself and do it. And she also said she can't accept the tires just tape together because of potential shipment separation and she doesn't accept it without having it boxed as (1) package. So I was like"WTF!" Totally contradicted your whole explanation. She even had the ***** to tell me that if I understood what she was saying! So I told her NEVERMIND and I will go to a different one. Don't have time to deal with stupid people. So headed straight to work with 265-19 tires in my Z. -_- hah

 

I bet you if the same dude was working, there would be no problem. Some people just live and breath to be difficult. Most likely because they can't stand their jobs. Which is probably that lady b!tch's case. Which is why she contradicted herself over and again. I really appreciate your efforts. Like I mentioned to you before, it hasn't gone unnoticed. I really appreciate it!

So tires are still FOR SALE. unfortunately shipment was an issue and I tried my best to get the cheapest quote but the buyer and I agreed to refund the $$ back. ^^^sorry DM. So the TIRES ARE STILL FOR SALE!
