Are those the original sensors from a 2006 car, or ones that have been replaced sometime along the way? If original than YIKES they are 10 years old, way beyond the average lifespan. These are not very sophisticated units and never completely go into a proper sleep mode.

Since it's such a pain to mount/dismount tires to install, I'm looking for relatively fresh units.

Go to Schrader's site (the manufacture of this unit) and look up the tech documents for this model. You will learn something new.

I don't need to. I work with this things all day.

Matter of fact my dad's truck, also a Nissan. Had wheel with no sensors on for a year, when I swapped back to the wheels with sensors the car would not pick them up after a week when they worked before swapping wheels. A 5 minute trip to the dealer. Light is gone

Tell me again how I'm wrong

Mr Pit changing wheels on your dad's truck then having the system reset, and discussions about the particular battery chemistry used in this model of tpms is the proverbial apples and oranges. The type of lithium ion configuration in this model gave good service life for a system of that era, but in sleep mode the battery will still deteriorate with time. (Other systems have better extended sleep life.)

I'm not here to lecture or argue with you, (Schrader has a lot of info to help a pro like you understand expected service life and sleep mode life under a whole host of circumstances).

I was simply trying to determine the age of these units, as I'm looking for ones a bit fresher for my purpose.
