Unhappy Garage Mod

So this weekend I planned to remove my MREV2, 5/16 Spacer, and Upper Plenum to get them powercoated. Then re-install my OEM Lower Plenum and a borrowed Upper Plenum. Then I got this crazy idea. Since I'm removing the whole intake system, I really don't have anything in the way to do something I wanted to do for a while. Paint my Valve Covers. Which leads me to my problem. I don't have a place to do the work. I would go to the Auto Hobby shop on base, but I can't paint there, or anywhere else on the base. I asked a few co-workers, and friends but they all have plans for the weekend. (Fishing, Visit the Mistress, 2nd Job, Out of Town). If anybody could help, I would appreciate it very much , if not I guess I'm sucking.

I'm not sure how your place is laid out. But i usually use my laundry room. Cover the top of the washer anr dryer with old sheets and cardboard. And use a hair dryer to quickly dry the coats, so you aren't in there all day dying from the fumes!! lol

Always worked fine for small projects!

I'd hook ya up, but i no longer have a garage. (got sick of paying an extra $150 a month!!)

I have a lil' backyard where I could paint, but I can't work on my G where I live.
I looking for a garage to work in, and paint somewhere close by. Sorry I don't made that clear.

The uninstall was flawless, and the painting was flawless except on the front I leave unpainted. I thought it would be covered by the back of the timing cover, which it's not. (#1) When I was putting the in the valve covers back in some of the wire hardnesses brackets scape the paint off . (#2) On the left side on the engine, there are too many things way. The main engine hardness with bracket, which does not move. The coil pact hardnesses with bracket, the fuel regulator and hard lines. (#3)The bottom lower valve cover bolt with a pain to put back in. I must have dropped that bolt more than 10 times. (#4) I somehow loss a valve cover bolt. (#5) After I got everything back on, I started the car, and checked for leaks, I see none. However as soon as I turn the car off, I seen white smoke....oil leak. I look again, and I see oil coming from the bottom of left valve cover. (#6) Take everything off again. (#7) Spend 30 minutes trying to get the valve cover gasket to stay on while I'll put the valve cover back on. (#8) After I got everything back on, I start the car again, but now my RPM's are all over the place. (3000->2000->1000->500->2000->300->3000, etc). I got a vacuum leak somewhere. After looking over everything again, I notice I left two vacuum hoses off, which must be the cause. (#9) I start the car again, and the same thing, my RPM's are all over the place again. So I take off the upper Plenum, and the back of seal was slightly bent in the lower plenum. Put everything on for the 3rd time, and reset the ECU. I started the car again and everything was fine.

I may have him do my strut tower bar. I want to do it some extreme contrast color instead of black. Like bright red, or Blue. Just to add a lil some contrast under the hood, and get away from all the black, silver, and orange i have now!

We doing anything Friday night??? I've got family on town from Saturday all the way till next week. So i'm out for Saturday.

Chugg gonna drag his a$$ out this time too??

I think gold would be too close to the LeMans color. I just threw blue out there as an example, not gonna actully paint it blue.
