350Z Vs G35 (Just a curious question)
Hey guys. I drive an '05 Infiniti G35 coupe (auto, premium package, OEM 18s). I was just wondering how much faster a 350z would be on a highway run (ex: 65 to top speed).
The reason I ask this is b/c I have raced 350z's on the highway but none of them were stock. I only raced 1 or 2 but the one's I did race had bolt-on mods.
I just wanted to know how much I would lose by if I raced a stock one on the highway?
Just a curious question.
P.S>
I believe that the G35 has better aerodynamics, and I know aerodynamics play a big factor but will it even make a difference compared to the Z's 300 pound weight difference?
And would it be much different if I had a stick car instead of automatic on highway speeds?
Thanks.

they both have the same engine but if the Z was a stick and had a good driver i dont see any reason why he would not win since he is lighter and has more power to the wheels.

Raced one one day and only pulled one car to 100mph from 65mph. Both of us were stock. He was M/T and he had a passenger. Don't let the less weight fool you. A well driven G is fast on the highway. A well driven Z will pull you 1-2 cars to 100, after that, who knows.

Sorry. I should have used the search button. That was my mistake.
I knew he was modded b/c he were heading to the same meet. Most of his modifications were show (he had a full bodykit, wheels, roll cage, etc.) but he did have an intake, headers and exhaust I believe. He didn't win by that much but he had a passenger in his car while I did not.
Someone told me that the g35 had better aerodynamics but I did NOT research it. It was just from word of mouth. The information I received was probably wrong.
