Pigeon Point is excellent! They actually have a hostel there, ~$20 for a night's stay! quite the views and they have a hot tub on the cliff. Not too bad for a hostel ha ha

Yup, both my kids got to stay there for several days on their respective class trips years ago so when I go there, it brings back memories of "Dad's visit to the lighthouse".

Back on topic.... never really noticed how "loud" my exhaust is under WOT through the Pacifica/Devil's Slide tunnel. Dayam, that's obnox. Heh heh.

Changed the spark plugs on Z earlier this evening, went nice and smoothly I'm happy to say. Probably didn't have to do it yet, only 70k km on her, but I didn't see any harm in doing it early.

Old vs new plugs:

Ordered a new caliper, front left has had some issues. It's been rebuilt multiple times, screw it , $300 later. 97k miles on them, guess it's due.

Had some washer fluid that left the windshield streaky, so I dropped a small diameter vinyl hose into the reservoir and siphoned it out. Refilled with Rain-X fluid, and the damn low-level warning light won't turn off. Must be stuck. Drove over railroad tracks, jerked the steering wheel side to side, rapped on the reservoir, and I can't get it to work. Not really in the mood for pulling the bumper, but that's probably next.

Correct, they have been rebuilt many times over the years. The last time they were rebuilt, I got 3 good days on them and the piston is sticking again.

Wait, what?!?

You see that industrial strength commuter mug fulla 'jo, Trav?

But seriously, when I got my '08, I was dismayed to find it didn't have that cupholder! Psh, so what that it had 'em in the doors? Wasn't as easy to reach as my dashmount and the ones in the console cubby work but sometimes I have to actually take eyes off the road to reach something there.

But ya, you HAVE TO have a cup that seals to use the dashmount one... ask my radio how it knows that. That first time with a Starbucks Vente....radio say, "Uhhhh, hey, uh, Mic, when you get a chance, no rush or anything but... y'wanna do something about all that caffeine spillin' into my inner workings?"

Not today, but this past weekend I drove 7 hours to Atlanta to help a buddy "move"...... and played on Blood Mountain and the ring of Mountain roads around Helen, GA. Stopped in Helen to say hi to the owners of the Helendorf Inn and ate some amazing German food.

I also got to play around with/drive my buddies 2013 TTRS too... That car is a HOOT!

I fell in love back in 2009 attending Southern Worthersee... a VW show. Years later it got way out of hand. I still visit, though. I absolutely LOVE it there.
