**** looks like its got rivets holding it on. Im quickly losing motivation between those and the 40 degrees outside, and trying to fit my body under the car. Might be a job for future dboyzalter.

My plan was to cut them off but one side is kinda close to the subframe, cant cut with precision when im freezing my *** off.

10x1.25

Do not use hardware store grade bolts. You need lots of strength here as exhaust pipes heat/cool and have to put up with some hostile movement. Spend the extra couple bucks for grade 8s (actually 10.9 for metrics but you get the point.)

Unless you're a glutton for punishment and want to get down there and replace bolts often.

CJM, those seats look great. Let us know how they feel after you test them out.

Quality harness bar should hold up in the event of an accident, I'm not concerned about that.

Extremely impressed with these seats. I'm a very skinny individual (5'11" 150lbs) and they still hold me nicely. Once I get my weight back up to the 180 area, I'm sure it'll be perfect. Much more confidence inspiring while cornering. Can actually focus on the turn rather than grabbing the wheel for support. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the excess harness...

EDIT: Also just got the VDC, ABS and SLIP lights two days ago. I noticed that the rear brake lights do not work when these lights come on. Is that standard or a sign that it could be brake sensor/fuse related rather than the normal culprit of a wheel speed sensor? Have to figure that out this weekend hopefully.

Never wear harnesses without a HANS device, never. You hit something and your body stays still and your head and neck keep moving, you either become a quadriplegic or dead.

This is an extremely low speed crash, watch what happens with out supporting the head/neck.

Notice how none of those videos show an airbag? I'm retaining the factory steering wheel and sit close enough that my head and neck will be saved in the event of an accident. As the son of a long time racer, having his approval of my "street" setup is all I need for confidence. I appreciate the concern, but I assure you that I will be fine

Just because hes a racer doesnt mean he knows about the danger of improper equipment.

Im not going to drag this iut because it has be discussed long ago many times.

The seat, seat belts, air bag is a combo package. Use all of them together. The harness, roll cage, bucket seat, hans device, padding, helmets are all one package. Ise them together. Mixing and matching is a receipt for disaster.

Your car, do as you wish, but science says, your car is now more dangerous than before in an event of a crash. Fact.

well GUYs, happy turkey day everybody.

BTW does anybody know the extra width the VIS "widebody" rear over fenders(Do luck replica and another one called Sniper) they sell are?

In the case of the Doluck replica, I know original was +30mm and the Seibon one is only a +10mm, but what is it with VIS?
