Keep or sell?
I currently own a 2006 automatic, convertible Z. I catch so much **** because people say its such a gay *** car and i ahould sell it and get something new. My question is, should i keep the Z and build it or get rid of it and get a new car. Also, im not a huge in depth car enthusiast but have taken an interest in it. Any information and help would be great

.
its not so much the convertible part. Its nice during the summer. Its the automatic part. Told that manual is a lot better. The car has a "manual" option told that makes it even more gay haha. Just trying to get better information from people who own a Z

Well as someone who owns a manual roadster Z...
Your buddies are idiots lol
Granted I live in CA and can drive mine too down almost year round. But as far as auto yea stick is "more fun" but there is nothing wrong with a auto as a daily.
I feel like you and your friends are probably younger and still about teasing over small stuff. When you get older you'll realize how retarded the Auto's are for girls comments are. Your friends probably just think their little stick shift civics and mustangs with intakes are race cars and just mad you don't have to shift on the way home from parties and when no ones looking
Again and this is from a guy who's never owned an auto car. There are def times I wish I had an auto car for just daily driving. Especially now with how good autos have been compared to the 90's.

I'm with CK on this.
Who's the car got to please? You or the haters with insecurities?
If one gives in to so-called "peers" at the expense of one's own pleasure, then one has to ask "Now who's the insecure one?"
Conformity has its merits... but it's best for people who don't do well thinking for themselves.
[ End rant - now get off my lawn! ] 😜

I drive one car that "should be" driven by a person half my age (and most are).
I also drive a car that rich, old guys own because they ARE having an MLC trying vainly to impress the wymmenz (or men, whatever).
Do I care that I do NOT "fit" these archetypes?
Psh. < ===my way of saying, 'ells to the no!
So glad I'm beyond peer pressure and/or "car builds by consensus."

There are very few things in life in which the opinions of peers should affect your decisions, a car is definitely not one of them.
I admit I'm guilty of being that guy who will always drive a car with a third pedal, but if you prefer automatic then that's great for you
Unless you bought the auto and wish, you got a manual, and your friends teasing is just driving that point home...
Point is, **** what anyone else says. You do what makes you happy, at the end of the day you're the one driving the damn thing
